Miss Tamarabrakemi Tonwerigha, the current Miss Nollywood Cuture & Tourism Nigeria was caught with surprise over the week as the Miss Nollywood Organization presented an official car to her in Yenagoa, capital of Bayelsa State.
Miss Tamara was one of the 5 Beauty Queens crowned in Asaba, Delta State, Nigeria during the contest on March 18, 2018.
The event which is one of the most prestigious beauty pageant in Nigeria aimed at encouraging young girls from all works of life was graced by popular and renowned Nollywood filmmakers across the nation and abroad, businessmen and politicians.
Speaking during the presentation in Yenagoa, Comrade Barakumo Solomon Odede, the CEO, BK Global Movies, President, Miss Nollywood Organization & Nollywood Honour Awards, said the organization will continue to support creative and brilliant young girls across the country in other to contribute to the development of society.
Miss Tamara is a 200-level Linguistic student in University of Africa, Toru-Orua, Sagbama, Bayelsa State.
The queen since her coronation has carried out several humanitarian activities and projects geared towards ameliorating the sufferings of the less privileged in society and the elderly.
She has visited some elderly persons with gift, cash and food items provided by the organization.
Queen Tamarabrakemi who has flare for fashion designing also visited some Orphanage homes in Bayelsa State.
Notably she loves singing and baking snacks at her leisure time with an high aspirations in the pursuit of her vision in the beauty pageant industry beyond the Miss Nollywood platform, which serves as a springboard for her.
She thanked members of the organization for bringing her to the limelight.
In her words, she said; ''Miss Nollywood Pageant has being a big stepping stone for me, and am so grateful to the organization, and to my boss,Comrade Barakumo Odede for the opportunity availed me. I am a Bayelsan and I intend to showcase the light of Ijaw Nation to the rest of the world'.
'I will be contesting for the prestigious Miss Bayelsa Pageant and when I am crowned as Miss Bayelsa, it will give me more opportunities to showcase our cultural heritages, values and traditions to the outside world', she concluded.
Miss Tamarabrakemi Tonwerigha who is 19 years old believes that reaching out to the elderly and the less privilege in the society should be the focus of every beauty queen.
