EPL: Why Manchester United won’t support Mourinho to sign more players

A former English professional football player and manager, Christopher Roy Sutton has claimed that Manchester United’s Executive Vice-Chairman, Ed Woodward, will not give manager Jose Mourinho the desired fund to buy players in January.

Sutton said Woodward cannot let Mourinho spend big in January having spent close to £300 million already.
“With the transfer window opening in less than a month’s time, Manchester United face a huge decision,” Sutton told Daily Mail.
“Do they back Jose Mourinho with the funds to turn their season around? Given Mourinho’s track record at Old Trafford, I cannot see how Ed Woodward can trust him.
“Having already spent close to £300million, there is no guarantee Mourinho can get them out of this malaise with another spree.”
